General Summary
The heroes were on Felucia where they were on a mission to investigate the local force users and attempt to make an alliance with them. They failed to convince the jungle Felucians to join the Jedi Order and the Republic as allies. They claimed that because of what had happened with Quinlan they do not trust that the Jedi Order can protect their Jedi against the dark influences that are on Felucia. Their second mission was to help Kael get his memory back by finding the Shaman that had locked it in the first place. This was a failure also since they found him dead, killed by Quinlan Predne.
It was now time to return to Coruscant. Tychus however wanted to get to Dromund Kaas as soon as possible as he received a message from his family saying that his sister is in the hospital and that he needed to come home. He offered to take them to a planet on a heavily used trade route so that they could find their way to Coruscant, and the other three agreed to this. When they attempt the jump to Hyperspace, the navigational computer returns with an error.
"Error: Unauthorized Coordinates."
Several attempts of hacking by Kael determined first that it was possible to override the restrictions but it would require some skill. Secondly, the coordinate control was programmed into the navigational computer by the Jedi Order.
They decided to fly to Coruscant anyway. There they received exclusive treatment and were taken directly to the Jedi Council where they gave their report and debriefed.
Tychus was paid 50,000 republic credits for his services to the Jedi Order.
Now that the mission was complete, he asked for the programming on his ship to be altered. The Jedi Order fulfilled his request and once it was complete he left the temple.
Tychus acquired a High-Quality Ideal Armor toolkit for 1500 republic credits.
He took his ship and returned to Dromund Kaas. When he arrived, his sister had already been released from the hospital. He returns to his family home to find that she had a baby! His father is in a fit over it because of the identity of the father. He starts going on about how he wanted her out of the clan. Tychus diffused the situation and told his father to sleep for the night before he made any rash decisions.
Bo-Katan decided she would not sleep at home and would instead take a room at the nearest hotel. She trusted their mom to watch the kids for her while she stayed away and allowed dad to cool off. While at the hotel the two begin to talk about what she is going to do. She told her brother that she might just leave the clan anyway. She was tired of their father and his clan pride and honor rants. She was offered a place in clan Kryze and she considered taking it.
Tychus, playing the diplomat, convinced her not to rush to any rash decisions. While they were in the bar, Tychus noticed something. Or rather he noticed someone. At the bar, taking shots with the bartender, was Kael. If he was there it was certain that the other two Jedi were there.
On Coruscant...
Around the same time that Tychus left for Dromund Kaas, Aidan Anesidora, and Kael remained on Coruscant. Kael contributed his knowledge on Nysillin to the Jedi Order's medical research teams, contributing significantly to their advancements in medical applications.
When he was not researching, Kael was meditating. One day, he had a vision. In it, he saw, Vivianna his former colleague, mentor, and the person that betrayed him. She was in a heated discussion with someone named Popara the Hutt. He could make out Neon Lights, a busy city street, and a few street signs in Trade Huttese.
He could hold his concentration for just a second longer before it broke. He rushed immediately to Yoda who advised him on what he should do. He warned that visions of the future or the past can easily lead down a dark path. Especially when they are about people that we are close to. Yoda asked if he still had feelings for her. He had more feelings of shame and guilt than what could have otherwise been described as "feelings". He craved to understand why, and Yoda suggested that perhaps things have gone far beyond her original intentions. It is important that they try to find her.
He recommends that Kael take time to meditate on what he saw and what they have discussed before he makes a decision on what he wanted to do.
While this was happening to Kael, Aidan and Anesidora had begun their trial of the lightsaber. By the end of the month, both Padawans had created their own lightsabers.
A week later, all three of them were called to meet the Jedi Council. First to be given an update on their first mission that they never completed. They had determined the identity of the terrorist group. They were called the Death Watch and their were a group of Mandalorians that desired to bring back the spacefaring raiding traditions from their older days. They suspect that the group has a base of operations on Dromund Kaas. Their mission is to investigate the area, determine their strength, their connections, and what their next move might be and stop it before someone gets hurt.
Yoda chimed in with saying to Kael "Good this trip will be for you. Strengthen your connection to the force it will. "
They were provided with a ship. It was called the Legacy where it was fully staffed with a mechanic, two pilots, and a medic onboard. The Ship was a Koensayr ILH-KK Citadel class cruiser.
Because traveling to Dromund Kaas would be dangerous for a Jedi, the council created a cover for them. They are a group of archaeologists and their students tasked with Studying Ruins from the Golden Age of the Sith. The temples are heavily studied on Korriban and his group will travel to Dromund Kaas to study the Dark Temple here instead. It also has great significance but is rarely studied.
Their contact for the Death Watch investigation is someone named Vatamork Guulall. He was last seen in Kaas City and is one of the few in the area that would be willing to help them with their investigation.
The council informs the padawans that this mission is considered the final test as part of their Knight Trials.
Anesidora must complete The Trial of the Flesh, while Aidan must complete The Trial of Spirit.
While they traveled to Dromund Kaas, Kael did research on their cover story. The Jedi padawans trained to learn new forms of lightsaber combat.
When they arrived on Dromund Kaas they could feel how strong the presence of the dark side was. Its influence had begun to affect Aidan's mind. He began hearing voices and found it difficult to focus.
They found a hotel to rest in but the padawans were eager to train. They snuck out to the ship to train more. In this time, Aidan completed Vo'ren's Cadences and learned to use the Nimian Form.
Anesidora began training to learn the Makashi Form.
Kael in the meantime sits at the hotel bar trying to get information out of the bartender. He found out about the local businesses but more importantly the nightlife. There are exclusive clubs in the city where you pay to be a member of and receive access to their club which provides, drinks, drugs, women, whatever it is you wish. Of course, anything outside the standard costed extra but the point was that it was available.
While he sat discussing these things, Tychus came up to the bar, sat next to him, and placed a blaster on the counter. The bartender turned pale, as did Kael. He gave them both shots on the house and disappeared from the bar.
Kael tried his best to hold his bluff, that he came here to study the ruins and find their contact. Tychus offered to show them where the ruins were and find out about their contact. He would contact them when he knew more.
His source of information was his mother. She was calmer than Tychus' father who had laid down for the night. When Tychus' mother found out he wanted to go to the ruins, she told him a story of the Great Hyperspace War and how they had sided with the Sith and give so much Mandalorian Blood for them. Then she told him another story of how Mandalorians gave just as much blood for the Jedi. She closed the story by saying that getting mixed up with either two would only lead to more problems. When he asked again about the ruins, Tychus' was smacked upside his head. She gave him the information anyway.
He also asked about Vatamork Guulall. Her reaction was of pure perplexion. She called him a "clan hopping piece of slime" and said that if he found him, she wanted the money that he owed her.
Tychus relayed this message regarding Vatamork to Kael, Aidan, and Anesidora. To find Vatamork, they would need to buy their way into one of the most exclusive clubs in Kaas City...
