Session II Report
General Summary
The heroes were tasked with going to Felucia to help Kayle acquire his locked memories.
They agreed that they would use the day to prepare for their journey and meet at Tychus' ship in the morning to leave. While they did this, Tychus went to a tattoo parlor and received Tattoos on his hands in Mandalorian. The Jedi Padawans consulted with their masters and received exercises to train with. They had begun with this, in particular, Aidan was extremely enthusiastic.
His master, Mace Windu, found him training continuously in one of the training rooms in the temple. He warned him of overtraining. Aidan told his master he just wanted to get better.
"Be Mindful of your thoughts, my young padawan. Acquiring more power than you are ready for can lead you astray," says Master Windu. "Get something to eat and meditate on this for the rest of the day."
Meanwhile, Anesidora visited her master in the meditation rooms. She entered quietly and in a meek voice called out to him, "Master Plo Koon?"
She entered the room slowly and quietly.
"Enter my apprentice. How may I be of service?" answered Plo Koon. He remained sitting on the meditation stool but he looked up at her from where he sat.
"I would like to know if you have any advice for me. I would like to learn to protect others from blaster fire," she explains.
"I see," responds Master Plo Koon. " I have an idea of what might help. See the Quartermaster over in the supply area. I will comm ahead, with the specifications."
Anesidora bows her head, thanks her master and leaves to the Quartermaster. When she arrives he recognizes her right away. He gives her a Helmet with the blast shield down and locked into place, and a remote droid. It has a special program so she learns to extend her defenses a little further.
Kael spent his time studying in the Jedi Archives and helping the Medical Ward research the Nysillin plants he brought back from Tattooine.
When the day passed they took off and headed to Felucia. It took 91 hours of hyperspace travel to get there. The heroes found many different ways to pass the time.
Tychus and Anesidora are the first to come out of the ship and take in their surroundings. Tychus made a groaning sound. It is humid and the air is thick and hot. Anesidora was over the moon at all the colors and beautiful flowers. She reaches down on the ground to pluck a flower.
Kael rushes out the ship and shouts, " Do not touch that!" but it is too late.
Anesidora picked up the flower and had it in her hand already. Which began to blister and boil violently.
When they arrived at Felucia they noticed that it was a forest planet. It gave off a blue/purple hue from orbit. As they entered the atmosphere, they could see that the colors of the forest became more vibrant; there were hues of purple, blue, and pink across the entire planet. The soil was dark and rich, a sign that there would be many farming towns. They are not hailed by any police or control towers. There was no presence of law enforcement of that scale on this planet. They landed on the outskirts of a small trade town. When they enter the main street they can see that it is quite busy. There are mostly Gossams selling and buying wares, with a few humans, and other aliens in the mix. You can hear merchants shouting the advertisements of their wares, buyers haggling over prices, and all of it happens either in Huttese, Basic, or a language the heroes do not understand; Gossam.
Kael set off to buy medicine for Anesidora's hand and returned to treat it. It still hurt, but the blisters and boils stopped forming and her hand began to improve.
Why they were all looking at her hand and merchant shouted out, " Hey you! Yeah, you! Jedi! Come here! I am in need of some help!"
Aidan approaches the Merchant. He is a little on the chunky side but has this feeling about him like he is an honest man trying to earn a living.
" I am trouble! I am trying to sell wares, but the farm I buy goods from has not sent me a shipment in weeks! I am going to lose my business if nothing is done about this! I am begging you. Please help me!"
After a short discussion with the merchant, they find out that the village is half a day away on foot. Tychus went to the mechanic and paid for a vehicle rental. It cost him 2,000 credits.
They set out to the farming village, heading Northeast from the village and arrived to see most of the town in ruins. Their silo has been completely burned down and some of the huts were in ruins. As they called out to the people they heard footsteps and a slamming door. Kael saw by one of the huts and small gossam girl. As soon as the two made eye contact, she ran away. They follow her to see her hiding in the arms of her mother. Who is just as frightening if not more so.
With reassurances from both Kael and Aidan, she relaxed her guard. The heroes explained that they wanted to help them. The village elder was brought to them and he explained what had happened to them.
They were getting raided by thugs, who took their crops and some of their people each time. The 6 adults and two children they saw before them, were all that was left of the village. They refused to leave because it was their home, and they have nothing to barter with for housing anywhere else.
Upon asking the village elder, the heroes learned the following:
- The raiders came from the mountains in the west
- They spoke mostly Trade Huttese
- They took their youngest and strongest farmers before they took the rest of them
- They only stole the crops and their people. Not their supplies or valuables.
