Cham Syndulla
Beginning as a political radical railing against the corruption of the Republic's twilight years, Cham Syndulla was forced into the role of an insurgent leader when the Separatists occupied his home planet of Ryloth. Unable to oust them with his movement's limited local resources, he struck a reluctant alliance with the Republic, only to be betrayed by its transformation into the Empire at the conclusion of the Clone Wars.
Despite two decades of armed resistance against oppressive interstellar regimes making him a hardened and ruthless warrior, Cham has never yet wavered from the cause of liberty and justice, though his zeal and dedication to his people and his planet have sometimes blinded him to the larger picture.
