Vishé Cambrellaine

A native-born scion of a family that came to wealth and prominence with the boom in the tourist trade after the formation of the Empire, Vishé Cambrellaine is a venal, weak-willed woman. In keeping with the Empire's generally gentler and more tolerant presence on Naboo, she was was appointed to her position because of her political moderation, so as to neither encourage nor enflame anti-Imperial sentiment. And, in truth, Governor Cambrellaine was far from a cruel tyrant, being mainly interested in the perks of her new position and the maintenance of the status quo – which hardly seemed to need much maintaining.
So it was that she was taken as much by surprise as the rest of the Imperial government when Naboo rose up in reaction to news of the Emperor's death; only the vigilance of her security chief let her escape the RNSF's sweep and reach the safety of the Palpatine Estate.
Since becoming beseiged in the Emperor's old vacation home, she has repeatedly called for nearby Imperial forces to come to her aid. Tarkin's Empire is aware of her plight, and has helped in arranging for additional supplies to be smuggled to her, but has so far refused to commit to any greater assistance, believing that military action would provoke a re-ignition of war they are not yet prepared for.
