Sgt. Sev works out of CnC on the Vigilant. He runs the master Comms board on the bridge when the convoy is at General Quarters, and he tells me that he knows we love him.

Since he is a member of the Vigilant's crew, he's also a member of Clan Venn.

I like how he handles multiple channels of intraunit comms during an action. He pitches his voice at different tones and different speed depending on which particular sibling(s) he is addressing at the moment, from which I can deduce that he not only keeps good track of which TC is where but also remembers what works best for each without having to stop and think about it. He knows who responds faster to whole words instead of clipped syllables, who should be advised as to their wingman's bearing when something atypical plows through the battle plan, who is better with text floating on their screen than a voice in their ear.

One of my favorite things about Battle Meditation with TCs is how much they are able to do with it, that my friends from the Mismatch are not ever going to do because we really don't see ourselves as intimates like the TCs do. In Sev's case particularly, within maybe a minute he was spotting tiny eddies in the immediate future -- and passing the right word to the most applicable TC -- all without my having to focus my attention anywhere. I mostly sat in my out-from-underfoot spot and tracked the big twists.

• Treated in secret by Dr. Taun We with an unauthorized, experimental process to slow the "rapid aging problem" afflicting all Clone Troopers
• Stayed alive for 30 years on a classified hyperspace loop, even when that required cybernetic implants, after a radioactive attack by Coruscanti clones.
• Survived several operations and treatments to correct the "rapid aging problem" successfully, to replace most of his cybernetics with vat-grown organic parts matching what he should have had all along, and to provide mental health support for thirty years of strain.
• Met a nice Tapani civilian lady named Hildy Burroughs in Cadriaan Province, established a stable and mutually beneficial relationship, got married, went on the kind of honeymoon that involves unscripted mishaps, had fun anyhow.
• Decided to pick up the "still imaging" hobby, got some fourth-hand holoimager equipment, did some allegedly "weird" things with the settings and filters, wound up setting current theories on the life cycle of some plant called Manyezi (found in the Crystal Forest on Calipsa) on their collective ears completely by accident. Next I expect he's going to start studying radio wave filters in holoimage processing.
