When the The crash happened in 322 AG and all ships were cut-off from the drift, it sent the entire universe spiralling. You were currently on the planet of Eox on some business. Watever it was, it is not relevant.
Logistics have been rough, but Eox seems to have made it the best out of the situation. The crash is still ongoing & people are starting to report that The Drift is a bit more stable again, but it is still nowhere as safe as it used to be.
You are currenly in the city of Exantius and have been so for at least one year. You have befriended the archeologist Gerwald Boldpest & are running missions for him to gather archeological artifacts for him, in exchange for credit. Credit that is your ticket out of here & will take you back to the hotspot of civilization Absalom Station.
