- The eye colors of the Arc Sisters—Glacie, Electro, and Pyara—were intentionally created to reference one another: Glacie's yellow eyes represent Electro's electricity, Electro's red eyes represent Pyara's fire, and Pyara's blue eyes represent Glacie ice.
- This is, in turn, a reference to the Tao Trio from Pokemon, where the Ice type Kyruem's yellow eyes represent Electric type Zekrom, Zekrom's red eyes represent the Fire type Reshiram, and Reshiram's blue eyes reference Kyruem.
- Furthermore, Glacie's one face horn, Electro's two face horns, and Pyara's three face horns are a reference to the Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, which have the spanish numbers for one, two, and three in their respective names, and similarly share the respective powers of the matching Arc Sister. As these three powerful Pokemon commonly show up in Pokemon games, the Arc Sisters likewise appear frequently throughout Heart of Crystal, and their power makes them a force to be reckoned with.
