Personal history

Lou was born Amelia Louise Hunt to Mildred and Stanley Hunt in the town of Kirkwall, New York. The Hunts already had one son, Simon, who was 7 at the time. When Lou was around 3, Mildred had another daughter, Agnes. Unfortunately, Mildred died of complications afterwards. To support the three children, Stanley began taking more jobs as a Travel Guard.
When Amelia was 9, Stanley was killed by airship pirates. With no real places in Kirkwall designated for the care of orphans, the three Hunt children were on their own. Simon, 16 at the time, began working odd jobs around Kirkwall, before finally finding a job as an apprentice to a local engineer. Once Amelia had turned 14 and was able to start earning money, Simon left for New York City, hoping to find a job that would allow him to earn more.
From then on, Simon would send the girls money about every two months. Only a year later, however, he stopped sending money. Worried about their brother, Amelia and Agnes made their way to the city. While there, they discovered that Simon had disappeared. A few weeks after their arrival, Agnes was collected by a group of people and put on an Orphan Train bound for the west.
Now alone, Amelia began going by the name Lou. She picked up odd jobs, eventually getting hired as a travel guard for a train because of her seismokinesis. Over the next several years, Lou worked as a travel guard, using her money and travels to search for both of her siblings.

Lou has been a travel guard since she was fifteen, usually for trains. In that time she's earned a lot of respect from her peers and employers.

Lou's only surviving family members are her siblings-- her brother Simon, who is 7 years older than her, and her sister Agnes, who is 3 years younger.

Wealth & Financial state

Lou makes enough money to get by fairly well, although she doesn't have a lot of extra money. When she's in New York City, she rents a moderate room in a boarding house.
