Monospire
The Monospire is an ancient seering tower tucked away in the mountains of Neira Pass. Although it has rich historical value, it's assumed to be abandoned because of the dangerous snow conditions in its area. It's name comes from the fact that it is the only stickman-made structure for hundreds of miles and sticks out from the terrain as a lone beacon of civilization.
Purpose / Function
As a seering tower, the Monospire's purpose was to provide intelligence in the form of vision - a global perspective over the land of Cier. From the spire's high altitude, mortal beings could have a brief "God's eye view" of the world. The quality of the view depended on a large number of factors such as the current season, weather conditions, and the skill and experience of the seer.
Over the ages, many rulers have sent trusted magicians to the Monospire in search of knowledge, either over their foes or of the future. The tower has proven to be fickle though, rarely providing info that has affected the annals of time (as far as we know).
Although it is not the highest altitude, physically, of the Neira mountains, the Monospire is said to be the closest you can get to the stars. If you ever wanted to touch starlight, the peak of the tower is your best bet.
