Background

Shortly after a few petty wars broke out between smaller kingdoms, Imperitor Magnus Quenton I began organizing the structure of the Erathian Republic (now known as the Tellayan Republic). Formerly only a shallow political alliance between rulers who followed the teachings of Erathis, the Imperitor drafted a formal structure and benefits of joining the republic. Ratified in 1202, many kingdoms that were already under the influence of the leadership in Ageranthum joined.

The Articles of Virtues

1. A member state must value the freedom of all folk who reside within their borders.
2. Slavery is an offense punishable by sanctions and declarations of war.
3. A member state must ensure all necessities for life are met if able.
4. A member state must allow passage of citizens of other members states to pass and reside within their borders.
5. A member state must offer their citizenry fair and open trials.
6. A member state must offer a percentage of their coffers to the Republic annually through the Church of Erathis.
7. A member state must offer their standing army or any militia in times of war to be led by Knights of the Church of Erathis.
8. A member state shall appoint or elect a Senator to reside in Ageranthum for a ten year term.
9. A member state will abide by the laws passed within the Senate.
10. A member state will allow the Knights of Erathis to operate freely within their borders.
11. A member state pledges to uphold the values of Erathis, The Lawbearer, The Lawbringer, Judge Supreme, the Enlightener and reject those who would bring Chaos against her within their borders.
