Torog
God of the Underdark (a.k.a. The King that Crawls)
Summary
Torog is the evil god of The Underdark, patron of jailers and torturers. Common superstition holds that if his name is spoken, the King the Crawls burrows up from below and drags the hapless speaker underground to an eternity of imprisonment and torture. Jailers and torturers pray to him in deep caves and cellars, and creatures of The Underdark revere him as well. He teaches his worshipers to: Seek out and revere the deep places beneath the earth. Delight in the giving of pain, and consider pain you receive as homage to Torog. Bind tightly what is in your charge, and restrain those who wander free. The patron of jailers and torturers, Torog is also known as the Twisted God or The King Who Crawls. During the Dawn War he was trapped in the Underdark and sealed there for all eternity. However, that has not left him powerless, and some mortals are afraid that if they speak his name he will reach up from the earth and drag him to his torture dens to "play" with for all eternity.
