Sul

Sul’s enigmatic leader, the blue dragon Sadish, was considered one of the most capable dragons of his generation, but most believe his generation’s time has come to a close. The small dragon inherited a relatively small state and expanded its borders rather aggressively in his youth until the borders of Sul lay well beyond The Great Marsh, the swampy region that marks the start of the tropical south. Sul is considered one of the more prominent countries within The Timathian League, and the bestowing of Griselda's egg was a sign of the Chromaitc Council's continued faith in Sadish.

Outside of a few natural islands, the people of Sul live on evermoving colonies, the secret of their transportation a closely guarded secret. These floating villages are ideal for finding and tracking the various rare plant and animal species that only exist within The Great Marsh. Sul is also famous for hosting The Magus Exemplar, an order of skilled mages that control access to incredibly hard-to-find components that makes membership almost required in order to acquire rare materials.

The Magus Exemplar are also infamous for hosting extremely difficult or confusing trials to earn membership, most seemingly independent of an applicant's magical skill. It has become a common turn of phrase to say “a Magus Exemplar must be in charge” when a decision is baffling or confusing. Some believe that the order is ultimately controlled by Sadish, but the wizened Vo’ten Hoysa has led the order from the ever-moving capital of Drifthaven for the last 15 years.
