Rogue

Geography

Rogue is a remarkable near super-hydrous tropical planet situated in the vast expanse of space. Its geography is defined by a captivating array of islands and island groups, scattered across its extensive oceans. These islands together form a breathtaking mosaic, showcasing diverse ecosystems and landscapes.   The planet's climate primarily falls into the tropical category, characterized by warm temperatures, high humidity, and lush vegetation that envelops the islands. Frequent tropical storms and cyclones have left their mark, shaping the landforms and ecological patterns of Rogue's islands. A notable feature of Rogue is the presence of polar ice caps, a striking contrast to its tropical environment, offering a glimpse into the planet's climatic extremes.   Rogue's islands offer an array of environments, from dense rainforests to pristine beaches and towering volcanic peaks. Each island group boasts its own unique flora and fauna, making the planet an enticing destination for researchers and explorers. The planet's oceans are teeming with life, featuring vibrant coral reefs and a rich diversity of marine species.

History

In aeons past Rogue was, with its human breathable atmosphere and mild climate, a world suitable for easy colonisation by the Galactic empire. but for whatever reason, there was no concern-able effort made to colonise it. causing it to be largely forgotten and disappear from galactic charts by the time of the Civil War. which made it a suitable hiding spot for people on the run. for decades the world had a very small population of scattered independent settlements, until Dr. Cooper arrived on Rogue during the Saeculis Obscuris.

Dr. Cooper was an genetics genius considered famous by some, infamous by others. Due to his unique knowledge and skills within the field of genetics, he was sought after. some for help, others for exploitation, others again for justice, in what some would consider an ethically and morally questionable approach to genetics research. This caused Dr. Cooper and his artificially created, genetically engineered, tank-born race of bodyguards and super soldiers, to seek refuge on Rogue. This race became known as The Brotherhood.

Over time Dr. Cooper and his Brotherhood seized control over all of Rogue, Rogue City was founded, and the Island on which Dr.Cooper had settled became known as Cooper Island. During Dr. Cooper's reign over Rogue, it was still kept relatively lawless and as a refuge to criminals and people out of their luck alike. a very simple 3 rules system was set up, follow the 3 rules and the Brotherhood will not intervene in your business, will not care what you do, and will protect you from any outsider. Any violation of the rules was always met with very ruthless and violent reprisals from the brotherhood.

  1. Don´t Fuck with Dr. Cooper
  2. Don´t Fuck with The Brotherhood
  3. Pay the Tithe

The existence of a world where there was next to no governmental oversight and a large army of, well trained and well equipped, super soldiers providing protection from any external interference, was very enticing for shadowy types. This led to many large criminal organisations moving their "management" to rogue, since it was protected from any law enforcement. With the management also came a lot of "business", although not only criminals settled on Rogue. During the Dark ages there were still a lot of refugees and people out of their luck, moving around in the galaxy in attempts to find a new and better life. Some of these settled down on Rogue. Yes, it was not the most orderly and lawful place to live, but the taxes were low and no outsider was gonna come and force you back on the run. With the third rule, The Brotherhood built up a significant wealth primarily from taxing criminal organisations.

Life carried on like this on Rogue for decades. 3 new Generations of tank-born super soldiers were birthed into the brotherhood and "The Doctor" was becoming an old man. Then one day, a now mostly forgotten, small group of mercenaries came to Rogue City. Not in itself a noteworthy occasion, guns for hire and other shady types found their way to Rogue City all the time. though this time, something was different. The Brotherhood kept an eye on all offworlders who came to Rogue City and among this particular group of mercenaries was a female. Through genetic profiling Dr. Cooper saw, in this particular female, the last piece of the genetic puzzle in the creation of his magnum opus. certain qualities that allowed him to complete his masterpiece, the genetically perfect female archetype as a female counter to his male super soldiers. The mercenary group was invited to Cooper island, an extremely rare occasion for anyone not of the Brotherhood. They met Dr.Cooper in person and a deal was struck. A few years later the first generation of females were born. The masterpiece was as good as complete, The doctor had made a completely artificial species. After Gen 4 there would be no more Tank-Bourne "Rogueians''.

As the Saeculis Obscuris came to an end, and the Current Era began. "The Doctor" died, leaving his brotherhood of sons and daughters with a will. This led to a time locally known as "The Cleanse ''. Across the world, The Brotherhood attacked all the major criminal organisations that so far had lived relatively undisturbed on Rogue. All assets were seized, anyone on the list of irredeemables were terminated. anyone on the list of redeemables were arrested. anyone who resisted was terminated. This dealt a massive blow to the galactic underworld, but provided the Rogueians with a cleaner plate from which to start their proper existence as an equal among the species of the stars.
