Brundelium (/brun'dɛlium/)
Brundelium lies north of Estinople along the Imuro River. It is important as a trade center on the land route between Portus Praedistum and Estinos, as well as a trading post between the dwarves of the Eturangian Uplands, the humans of the Imperium and the reculsive wood elves who live in the Forest of the Imperium to the east of town (those elves have an entirely different name for the forest, which they view as their sovereign possession - a conceit that the Emperor tolerates, for it causes no real harm).
The city is neither elegant, nor large, though it is important enough in the grand scheme. It is defended by Legio V, under the command of Livia Iulia Nocto, a severe half-elven woman of middle years.

The city is ruled by a council made up of the Dux of Brundelium, the Aedilis Urbana, and the Legatus Legionis of Legio V.
