Braigh

Braigh is a town near the northeast end of Tatsch, populated by wheat farmers, brewers, millers, and bakers. Many halflings live in the town, who moved to the human walled city after their village burned down in a brush fire.  Braigh is a walled city known for its cobblestone buildings, roads, and walls, which is unusual for the surrounding area, which is primarily wooden and thatched halfling dwellings apart from stone-built castle ruins.   Bustling, stony Braigh is a mixed population of humans and halflings living with each other in mutual beneficial states, with humans helping with industry and infrastructure while the halflings provide the agricultural and artisan needs, as well as much-needed links and ties with the surrounding halfling villages, homesteads, and towns.   Braigh is located along Tatsch's major route, connecting it to the capital city, Wynmollen, and the towns of Tulpdam and Rumy, along with the villages of Bizzet and Mazecrop.  From Braigh, local roads connect to the villages of Jetdrift to the north and Beryndam to the southeast.

History

Built from stone rubble from nearby castle ruins, "Castle Braigh" grew as a human settlement and from its beginnings was a mixed population, which was uncommon at the time.  Today, Braigh stands as a defensive, mixed, and successful town, and is the heart of the region.  Compared to the capital Wynmollen which grew thanks to its port and metropolitan draw, Braigh grew over the years through cooperation.
