Tatsch Hwell

Tatsch Hwell, Isle of Dragons, is an island of rolling hills, farms, woods, and bays, known for its agricultural bounty and history of draconic opression.   Tatsch comes from ancient Subetian word meaning "dragon," in reference to the fire-breathing wyverns ("dragons") that used to be common among this isle's plains, plaguing the otherwise at-ease villagers who live a life of farming grain on the isle's dry and expansive fields, which stretch out across the long and thin shape of this land. Lakes and rainwater provide the fresh water, which the residents use for irrigation and sustenance. The dry isle is used to recovering often from periodic wildfires ignited by lightning bolts whether from clouds, mages, or dragons. The isle is famous for its grain alcohol and ales, which it exports across Orcli and even north to Svetli, while making big business in the pubs of Hosh and Hodn Hwells. The island is full of stone ruins of ancient castles, temples, buildings, and structures, including stone markers, stone heads, and stone circles. Many of these ruins are grown-over, half-buried, crumbled, or scorched, but still can reveal the location of secret stashes of treasure or unlock clues to the past.
