Omen

Omen is a species of animal or beast that has the head and the wings/tail of a vulture, with monkey-like arms, legs, and tail. Its hands have elongated fingers and its feet are talons like that of a vulture. They are large in size, from vulture- to human-sized. Omen are known to stalk their prey, whether it be near-death livestock or regularly-traveling merchants. Omens are feared for their animalistic nature yet eerie, almost humanly appearance, and there are legends about them being cursed birdfolk.  They are thought to live in the mountains and fly over plains searching for prey when they are hungry.
