Orcli
Orcli is a continent consisting of an archipelago of islands and is the most populous continent of Subetia. Originally called "Pamona," Orcli and her islands or hwells have had great importance in the history and mythology of Subetia. The many islands are divided into 12 regions centered around the largest hwells. Each hwell is locally governed, with representatives from each serving in a central congress located in the capital city, Hevedberg. Throughout history, different races and hwells have risen in power and acted as a sort of overruler, including humans, elves, dwarves, and, currently, orcs, for which Orcli is now named. Despite the overrule, each hwell contains its own autonomy, to various levels, while maintaining the orcish tributes, rules, and requirements.
Geography
The twelve hwells vary in geography, ranging from lower elevation swamps, plains, and forests to higher elevation mountain ranges.
- Minnet Hwell, Isle of Ports, is located in the southeast corner of Orcli, and is known for its palm trees, wetland forests, and port towns, serving as a popular launching pad for expeditions to Zabokh or shipments heading to Hevedberg from the hwells north of Moethe.
- Meyjakh Hwell, Isle of Mountains, is Orcli's most mountainous island, containing impressive alpine ranges, dramatic glacial valleys and towering pine forests.
- Sogn Hwell, Isle of Meadows, is known for its grassy fields and livestock. Although the island itself is small, the region to the west, located on Moethe Hwell, is known as "Sogn Havn," and is recognized as an unofficial extension of the agricultural isle.
- Moethe Havn, Land of Origin, is the largest of the hwells by far, and contains the capital city of Hevedberg. Multiple distinct forests, fields, lakes, and mountain ranges make up the island.
- Ghadjo Hwell, Isle of Citadels, is a dryer, rocky, Mediterranean island whose cliffs and walls rise up from the surrounding waters, located in the center of Orcli, serving as the central military base and seat of Orcish overrule.
- Orze Hwell, Isle of Thrones, is a mysterious island consisting of a slim coast dotted with settlements and a large, uninhabited, misty highland region that is steeped in legend.
- Caivh Hwell, Isle among Seahorses, is known for its beaches, sand dunes, and enchanted forests full of dangerous and fantastic flora, fauna, and fungi.
- Tockhotch Hwell, Isle of Bones, is an island known for its geothermal vents, wetlands, and swamps, along with its deadly wildlife and undead creatures.
- Tatsch Hwell, Isle of Dragons, is an island of rolling hills, farms, woods, and bays, known for its agricultural bounty and history of draconic opression.
- Hodn Hwell, Isle of Shells, is a small island consisting of dunes and beaches, and is Orcli's closest island to Svetli), and is frequented by sailors, pirates, and explorers. Legends of treasure can be heard at the island's popular ale houses.
- Arruck Hwell, Isle among Dolphins, is an island known for its natural beauty, including its mountains, beaches, clear water, and colorful, coastal villages. Its people are particularly proud as well as warm.
- Murrask Hwell, Indigo Isle, is a small island consisting of privately-owned plantations growing expensive herbs and crops, famous for its perfumes, wines, and dyes.
