Legislature Period
The governing body of Styx, the Temple Parliament operates in periods of 8 years each which are called Legislature Periods.
Every 8 years a general Election votes on how many members of each of the Great Unions shall sit in parliament and decide upon the fate of the people they directly represent. In the current year it is the 2nd year of the 44th Legislature Period.
