Temple Parliament
The Temple Parliament is the governing body of the People's Republic of Styx.
Members of all Great Unions gather in the parliament to debate and decide the future of the Republic.
Elections for parliament happen every 8 years and in the year 354 (now) it has been the 44th Legislature Period for 2 years.
The Temple Parliament is made up of the Two Houses, the Major House which is made up of the 6 most votes of the Great Unions and the Minor House which is made up of the 14 most voted of the Great Unions after those in the Major House.
The Major House has 33 seats while the Minor House has 100.
The Two Houses ordinarly meet independently from each other and hold votes and debates on legal proposals and proceedings.
Both of the houses can propose laws and start debates but the decision which proposals are handed to which of the houses being in the hands of the Chief Electoral Commissars.
Rarely the Chief Electoral Commissars call for the Collected House to gather in which case each seat of the Major House has 2 votes while each seat of the Minor House only has one.
