proto-Elvish

Proto-Elvish is the extinct source language that all Elvish Languages descend from.
In Styx Proto-Elvish developed into Ancient Umbraen Elvish and then Old Church Umbraen before becoming distinct as Modern Umbraen Elvish. Examples of words from proto-Elvish which are still used in Modern Umbraen Elvish are the name the people of Styx call themselves, Sumraki-Ashaī (literally "Dusk-Elves") and the name of the Sektor Norrsidra.
