Særvættr
The Særvættr are spirits of the sea and waters that are worshipped by the Eldtruth-Kept.
In the Dwarven myth cycles it was the Særvættr who taught the Dwarves how to use the kinetic power of water for great industrial feats as well as enabling them to reach prosperous faraway lands by crossing the otherwise near impassable Sunless Seas.
Within the faith of the Eldtruth-Kept the Særvættr are therefore greatly important. Some Dwarves have a special affinity to these spirits, they are called Waveseers and often take the role of spiritual guides but also seafaring navigators or ingenius inventors within Dwarven society.
Some scholars at the Academia Ars Magicka et Mundana classify the Særvættr as Fae spirits which are more steady, reliable and reasonable than most of their kind and can therefore be dealt with in a ritualistic fashion.
The scholars therefore also argue that the Eldtruth-Kept practice of worshipping these spirits is unlike the bedeviled Witchcraft of the Eldest Faith.
