Water Cycle
The Great Cavern is large enough to have a functional water cycle.
Water congregates in clouds high up in the cavern then falls down as rain.
That rain then gathers in rivers and streams that eventually lead to the Obsidian Sea where it eventually vaporizes and enters the endless cycle once more.
