Rue (/ru/)

Rue, the Dread Mother, is the deity of death, disease, poison, murder, nightmares, pain, and the undead. She is only worshiped by those who seek to defy the laws of death and by those who seek to cause pain and destruction. No self respecting person in Aessaria will pray to her. She is considered to be one of the ten developer deities, along with Ahjya, Athennoth, Ceren, Elueh, Lademis, Nalletes, Onera, Rynestra and Sovi. Her symbol is a black circle with three drops within (speculated to be blood, poison, or tears, or perhaps all three). Her associated colors are black and indigo. She is considered chaotic evil by mortal standards.
