Episode 05: Wedding Crashers

Katherine's sister Meredith Cora arrived to inform her of their brother Kade's impending marriage to his intended, Arelynn Stargazer. Katherine and Arelynn had a bit of a relationship when they were younger, which ended with Kade's arranged betrothal.
Meredith was surprised to find a Drow keeping company with her sister. Her training as a Cleric of Allanna includes several scrolls detailing historical events concerning the Drow.
She informs Katherine of the wedding plans. Katherine wants to go to Norvaron immediately, and asks the group to accompany her.

Arrival

Katherine's Sister Meredith arrives at the Verrin Manor to speak with her sister and is shown in by Jeeves, Jedrek's butler.
She starts to speak with her sister, but her eyes roam over the group and she starts when she sees Mist Behavin. She says, "A drow?" before dropping her prayer book and falling to the floor.

Awakening

Meredith wakes up and tells Katherine about the impending marriage scheduled for 1 week. She asks the party to go with her to the Isle of Norvaron to attend/disrupt the wedding.

Shipwreck

While enroute from Baramore to Norvaron, the Sky Galleon passes the remains of a strange ship resting on a small chunk of skystone. It is of an unusual design with strange bits of metal jutting off the side. The ship's hull appears scorched, and burned through in places.
While exploring the ship, the party encounter 2 Magmin fire elementals, still burning the wood.

While they fight the Magmin, within the ship, one survivor is wrapped within a hammock net, tied tight. She is attacked by one of the magmin, which burns the rope net enough for her to get free. She attacks the elemental with her bare hands, knocking it back though the doorway, though taking some slight burns in the process.
The Party stops their two magmin, and sees the girl finish off hers. At first she cannot speak common. However, when she places a necklace around her neck, she begins to speak clearly. She identifies herself as Karumi.
Her ship came from the Misty Isles, a region down below close to the Region of Water. A fire storm blew her ship high, where it caught fire and broke up. The front portion that she bunked on crashed on the isle, the rest disappearing into the clouds below.
She left with the party aboard their launch, just as her doomed vessel tipped of the rock it was resting on.

Arrival at Norvaron

Aboard the Galleon, the party plus one arrives at Norvaron a few days later. It is still 3 days before the wedding.

Katherine's Chaos

The Party is greeting at the dock by none other than Katherine's parents, the Symeeth. Her mother greets her, while her father is standoffish. Katherine asks to speak to them in private (about Mist Behavin ) and they take the party to the Throne room deep within the wildenwood.
After introducing her friends, she tells her parents that Mist Behaven may have drow parentage. While guarded, they agree to allow her friends access to the library to get information regarding the drow.

Encounter with Kade

Katherine goes to Kade's room, to speak with him. They have a stilted conversation, before he takes her to Arelynn's rooms so Katherine can speak to her.
Katherine and Arelynn speak, with Arelynn speaking of the arranged marriage being her duty and that she must follow through with it for the good of her family. It soon becomes obvious that while Katherine is still quite enamored with her ex, Arelynn has moved on.

Wedding

The wedding ceremony begins, with the wedding party entering nude, as per Elven custom. Guests are asked to check their weapons in crates at the entrance to the clearing.
The ceremonial exchange of titles and sayings begin, and is shortly interrupted by a loud roaring in the distance. Screaming follows.

Dragon Attack

Four Red Dragon Wyrmlings crash through the canopy of the Wildenwood and land in the clearing. They begin to attack.

Chaos ensues. It becomes obvious that there is more chaos going on beyond the wedding chapel with loud roars and screams coming from outside. Kathrine's Mother and Father, who fled the chapel, come back inside. She askes them why they returned and her mother replies that "There are more of them outside, and larger."
Sylvanis begins feeding off the blood of one of the dead wyrmlings.
The party finishes off three of the Wyrmlings, while the other one flees. Sylvanis follows it, with Katherine calling after her in dismay. The Elven Army repels the dragons outside, which also depart, all flying toward the Crystal Spire.
