Iron Dwarf

The Iron Dwarves live on the Iron Isles, a large Isle spireward of Baramore. They are squat, strong men and women, adept at mining, smithing, tunnelling, and construction involving stone. Iron Dwarves have hair ranging form jet black to steel, with elder's hair frequently turning white. They are renowned for their beards; growing beards that humans could only dream of. Female Iron Dwarves have small and silky beards. Iron Dwarves utilize specialized ships of their own design called Ironsides, immense metal ships that float and are propelled by jets of steam.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Iron Dwarves of today are the descendants of the Dwarves that Allanna rescued from their doomed world, once their fires had gone out. She settled them in what became the Iron Mountains, to build their first mountain home. The Iron Isles of today are the remnant of those mountains, floating lower near the boundary with the Region of Water. Dwarves are proliferate traders, and many have moved to human isles, the better to buy and sell dwarven goods.
