Stilton

Stilton is a small town on the south side of Dorwin. Stilton lies on the banks of a large freshwater lake that is filled by Dorwin's many natural aquifers. Many of Stilton's buildings are built onto stilts and lead out over the water.

Stilton has a Village Elder, who has a seat on and reports to the council in Dorwin.

Industry & Trade

Stilton has a series of docks that extend from the town into Lake Stilton. They have over 25 fishing boats which ply the waters of the lake. Fish, water plants, and sometimes water are all sources of trade.

History

Stilton was originally just a set of docks for boats to tie to, and a few huts for the cleaning and salting of fish before the cart ride back to Dorwin. However, as trade has increased, the market for fish has as well. The huts grew into a small town.

Geography

Stilton lays on the Northern shore of Lake Stilton, the largest lake of water found on any known Isle in the Region of Earth.

Natural Resources

Lake Stilton features a wide variety of fish and fowl, with many of the animals being the only examples known across the Isles.
