Apparel & Accessories

Project Ravenhaunt, a large, buff prosthetic demon costume additionally animated with some cheap servos, large enough to add a few inches to his height to push him over 6ft, buff enough to hide a lot of padding and some body armour. Has solid metal eskrima sticks and a hollow metal fighting pole both customized with nonsense runes to further sell the look and act as weapons on the field. Suit has a built in voice modulator, plus pockets in the thighs for smoke bombs and flash powder.

Personal history

Raised and trained in self defense and law from a young age to follow in his father's footsteps, Jacob was a rebellious sort, listening to heavy metal, skipping classes, sleeping in when he could get away with it. He found kinship with the other weird kids, finding art alongside them as a healthier way to express and rebel. When his grades were starting to excel towards the subject he and his friends started to record horror shorts on their phones, starting with 1 minute concept pieces and eventually 5-10 minute short films.
Their third short film, "Where Ravens Haunt", was about a girl walking in on a cult meeting in a barn. They wanted some amount of authenticity so they researched at the library, putting together a magic circle in chalk using Latin translated horror buzz words and Elder Futhark runes positioned to look best on the camera. When Jacob, clad in robes with a circle of robed faceless dummy extras, recited an old Latin poem about the dead, the runes lit up and struck him, burning the chalk in the process and frying the batteries on their phones.
When the burns on his chest miraculously healed before them there was a mix of terror and excitement, they had accidentally cast some kind of magic and every horror movie they've ever seen tells them that's a bad sign.
They cleaned up the scene, when they could recover their phones they deleted the footage and promised not to do that ever again. Until Jacob started to exhibit more power, his weight fluctuated wildly, he found exercise to give almost immediate results, and a hunger for meat started to grow. He brought the group back together (after much convincing he hadn't been possessed) and they began to test him. Testing turned to brainstorming, brainstorming turned to excitement that he could become a superhero. Project Ravenhaunt gained new life.
They began to put out more videos under PartyBonesProductions, part alongside their education as they were gunning for art college, but also as a cover; Off cuts and extra budgeting from parents and education funds let them build a costume in secrecy, hiding Jacob as a supernatural creature to prowl the streets at night, using their growing know-how in special effects to make him seem more than most could handle. Fights were short, some giving up, others being overwhelmed by his apparent unstoppability. When they were accepted into college a year early they celebrated with upgrades, unleashing the Demon of Sunset City upon it's criminals, the Aegis hacked Project Ravenhaunt becoming a minor urban legend.

Watched horror films and did art projects from an early age, turned into learning makeup, editing etc.. Mack is learning video editing and digital effects, Jake is learning makeup and theater. Each have learned together the basics for making videos and run the channel PartyBonesProductions together, uploading horror short films for the past 3 years. They know about Jake's powers and vigilantism and help prepare his costume as both practice and "this is fucking cool".

Adrian Dunn - Father (He/Him) Police officer, the job runs in the family Thinks heroes/vigilantism should be outlawed, people with powered put to better use in other fields or amongst the police force. Has seen the darker side of Hero work, preaches to Jacob and tries to get him enrolled into the family business.
