• Dragon's Might: The Aegis Helm grants the wearer advantage on saving throws against being frightened, and resistance to fire damage.
• Aegis of the Ancients: Once per long rest, as a reaction to taking damage, the wearer can activate the Aegis of the Ancients, gaining temporary hit points equal to their level multiplied by their Charisma modifier, and causing creatures within a 15-foot radius to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18). On a failed save, they are frightened for 1 minute. The wearer gains advantage on attack rolls against frightened creatures.
• Fafnir's Gaze: The wearer can use an action to activate Fafnir's Gaze, granting them the ability to see invisible creatures, as well as see into the Ethereal Plane, for 1 hour. During this time, the wearer also has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks.

The Aegis Helm is a masterfully crafted helmet, crafted by Brokkr for Fafnir. It is made out of gold and has intricate runes crafted on the helmet. It has two horns.

Crafted by the hands of the best dwarf blacksmiths, tailored to Fafnir's head, Aegis was the helmet Fafnir wore while protecting his father's residence. This item was also his curse.
