The
Grozni gave a lot to the world, particularly where
Enhanced people are related. They also gave my personal favorite endtimes mythology.
E/N: For the record, I want to be very clear that no one involved in this has ever been called Bob. This is not an accurate representation of Grozni lore.
Despite what some people might think, there's no known names involved in this legend, so it's customary to either use titles or else make something up, so that's what I've done. You're lucky I didn't call him Dumbo.
A Very Real and Present Danger
The whole legend stems from the existence of Bob, who was a very early super with the power to control light, among other things. His powers were strong enough that the people around him were worried that he would try and take over.
He did just that. Worth noting that none of the stories say he did a good job of ruling.
Eventually, the area around him was not enough. Nay, the planet was not enough. Bob set his sights higher than that.
Literally. He wanted to conquer the sun.
So he used his powers to fly off and then he was never heard from again. Presumably because he died.
The legend states that eventually he's going to reach the sun and suck all the light out of it and the Earth will be left a cold and joyless husk.
Honestly, I've always been impressed with the borderline scientific accuracy of pieces of the story.
