Crescerium

Rocks are meant to wear away with time, especially when exposed to water or other weathering elements. It's what shapes canyons and rivers and mountains and valleys and pretty much every element of geography there is.   But what if those geographical features were composed of an element that caused more rocks to draw together?   It's only found in one place on Earth, although I suspect that there are planets out there where it occurs in more abundance. I also suspect that it's not truly found in nature but was crafted by someone and made somewhat self sustaining. Torsial Island appears natural enough, but the crescerium has a profound effect on the nature of the island.   It doesn't entirely prevent decay. It still wears down, bit by bit, has a limited range, and a limited number of elements that it affects in turn. Still, it appears to the naked eye that it defies decay, instead drawing order out of chaos.   Its uses are more limited than might appear. There's very limited ways to manipulate crescerium, and it's a limited quantity since I have no idea where it comes from.   It appears as traces of a bronze metal that traces through an exterior stone coating. It tends to thread itself through the material it gathers. I don't believe it grows, properly, but it does tend to eventually catalyze more of itself as it gathers more mineral matter to itself.   It is extremely difficult to remove the crescerium from its casing. The more you clear away, the closer you get to its maximum potency which in turn draws the material back, like a strong magnet. Sort of. It's not magnetic. I have not been able to bring a metalokinetic in contact with the stuff to determine if there is a similarity to their powers, nor a terrakinetic.
