Double January: Day 24 - Slither

January 24th - Take 1

After all that planning, it's not surprising that something went wrong. My planned entrance through the main door was no longer an option since they were being significantly more careful about checking vehicles due to someone else sneaking in. So I pivoted.
Most people wouldn't bother with the drain pipes, since they were nasty and still required a key card. But I had the key card already, and I wasn't at all afraid of having to slither through tight spaces, so it was a naturally beneficial strategy.

January 24th - Take 2

So yeah, I spent the 23rd sneaking into the facility and I was a little careless because I was considering the philosophical ramifications of what I was doing, but it was just so painstaking and boring.
Of course, what was more boring was slowly slithering my way out of the lab over the course of twenty four hours because everyone was on high alert. At least I had the benefit of knowing that I had triggered another event that would guide my younger self to the path to continue the timeline properly.
