January 5th - Take 1
This was the day that I was reminded that many of the samples I would be swiping would need to be kept in a secure storage area, temperature controlled and dry. So not just my foster-parents-slash-minions' basement. Naturally, I got a little off track when it came to creating the storage containers. One of my attempts actually introduced me to the pocket dimension I would use later that year to store the
H-Series robots.
For the record, in general I do not recommend pocket dimensions for storing biological samples, because they're terribly uncontrolled and if the tiniest contaminant gets in then you've lost the whole dimension to some kind of super virus. Not worth it. Just use a modified refrigerator like the rest of us.
January 5th - Take 2
Pocket dimensions are still a lot of fun. I stand by that. I took the inspiration and moved my teleporter research back to that phase in the hope that I could use it as a kind of stepping stone, to travel from pocket to full dimension, or something like that. I nearly dried out a river before it became clear that this was a really bad idea.
