Nicholas Onager
Nicholas Onager is the regular world counterpart of the superhero Lightman (one of whose more famous battles includes the Battle of the Sky Demon). By all accounts, he's a pretty good person.
He was briefly a member of The Big Nine, but when he disappeared into the Psiaic Dimension they assumed he was dead and retired his position. He was also a leader in Myriad Battalion and lost his position for the same reason. They invited him back when he showed up again.
He also headed up a local Academics Club.
He himself is a first generation superhero, which makes the sheer level of his power all the more unnerving and confusing for those who keep track of such things and are attempting to figure out where all these superpowers come from.
Pretty much everyone sees him as a decent guy, in and out of the mask. Avoids loss of life wherever possible, works fairly gracefully with organizations like SIVIC and others more wholesome, and is respected by his teammates.
Part of why he ends up in charge so much is because he's powerful and there is a hierarchy to these things, but he stays in charge because he's darned good at leading teams, especially if it's a random pop-up group that had to pull together at the last second to handle an immediate problem instead of a regular team arriving on time.
It's rather curious that he doesn't share his identity with anyone. No one was even aware that he was married with kids until after he returned from the Psiaic Dimension.
Married to Chelsea Onager. Son is David Onager. Also has a daughter.
His sister is Melanie Pentreghast. They were close as children, raised by their loving widowed father. Once Nicholas' powers triggered, he kept it a secret from them to keep them safe, creating distance. There was an incident with a supervillain of the day. Nicholas went to assist, and saved a lot of people, but when he came back his father had been killed. Melanie blamed her brother, and they became estranged to the point that she didn't know he had a family of his own.
