Lord Malram Orthar

Known affectionately as the "Old Mountain" by his friends and family, and not so affectionately by his enemies, Lord Malram Orthar has been the head of House Orthar for over 500 years and does not look to be fading anytime soon. Unusually for a head of house, Lord Malram has refused the post of Pentarch, instead passing it on to his granddaughter Lady Karris Orthar.

In fact, Lord Malram is famous for his refusal to leave the Orthar estate inside the city of Kaiat, though he is quite active in the management of the Orthar holdings in the city and in the mines surrounding it.
