Veriken

Veriken is a country that was formed by 6 Major Clans living on the lands. Veriken is a country almost entirely within a giant rainforest, known as the Hanai Jungle. Originally hostile towards each other the Beastfolk Clans of Veriken came together to create a central political system, mostly for a foreign affairs department. The 6 clans of Veriken come together to talk about major changes or worries concerning affairs outside the border. Otherwise, the clans rule over themselves and have their own inner politics.
The Clans are as follows:
The Moon Lotus: Based in the Temple City of Moon Lotus, this Loxodonian Clan has a Matriarchal Leader. They believe their leader to be Incarnations of their Goddess "Mother" (who the Clergy outside of Veriken believe to be Mehra).
The Kin: The Kin are a Minotaur clan that live in their coastal city on the southwestern edge of the Iris Sea, The Hall of Horns. They consider the strongest among them to be their leader and they consistently go on hunts for great beasts. They follow their own "Mother" Goddess (who the Clergy outside of Veriken believe to be Dayla)
The Spire: Living in the tops of the high trees of the Hanai Jungle the Aarakocra live together with the Foundation Clan of Kenku who live at the bottom of the trees. The Capital Tree City is known as "High Top"
The Foundation: Living at the bottoms of the tall trees of the Hanai Jungle the Kenku live together with the Spire Clan of Aarakocra who live at the tops of the trees. The Kenku mask the cities with illusions to make the cities appear as if they are not there to Outsiders.
The Ronian: The wild Centaur clan of Veriken that consistently have land disputes with Archon.
The Dubou: Clan of Nomadic Tortles that typically travel by river in Veriken. They try to commune with Nature to achieve Enlightenment.
The Curiu: Tabaxi Clan lead by the Council of Greater Learning, to fill their Museums and Libraries in the Vault of Knowledge City. Their People scour the world in search of artifacts and books that might uncover the History of The Time Before.
