Corellon Larethian

As the creator god of the Elvish civilizations, Corellon Larethian is widely worshiped amongst the Elves. He is depicted as a fearsome warrior in legend. Like many deities in the The Seldarine, he is more complex than that - he is an artist and sculptor as well.
An elf in peril may call on Corellon as "the protector and preserver of my life."

Mythology

It is believed that the Elves were born of the blood of Corellon Larethian that was spilled during a mighty battle against Gruumsh One-Eye, the primary Orc God.
According to legend, Correllon Larethian banished a contingent of elves that followed the betrayer Lolth beneath the surface and away from the light. The surface elves believe that their God entrusted them to maintain this separation, and that they should serve as defenders of light.
Stories of Correllon coming to the surface of Sylinia to walk amongst his children abound. He is a curious god, constantly looking to learn new skills. Many of the stories emphasize this, depicting the god visiting those who create new and beautiful things in his name.
