In DnD, gods and goddess are real. They interfere in the affairs of mortals for fun and to satiate boredom. Many gods exist, but in our world, there are eight that dominate the rest. Known as the Pantheon, each gods represents a specific domain. The races across Synk have all had their own gods who they worshipped. Some were the same but had different names. Some races even had their own pantheons for a while. The Dwarves were the first to set the pantheon used today. They focused on the energy around them and felt it was of eight main domains. Gods have switched in and out of domains, letting others rule, but it's a rare sight. It should be noted, that the symbols typically associated with the gods can vary from being based in fact or being tied to cultural traditions. Both hold merit in worship. As for the Inner Planes, they are ruled by Archomentals. They're not gods, but rather on the level of demi-gods. Worship of them is typically seen as primitive and occasionally evil.
