The llivdwar sceptre is an entirely unique, one-of-a-kind item.

Possession

As a symbol of the rule of the Darormortv, the sceptre is currently held by Emperor It'varkei of the Enthar Empire. While the Darormortv takes the sceptre out for formal, ceremonial occasions, It'varkei is particularly possessive of the item. Recovered by the previous Emperor, Magarch Oret'serv, after it was 'stolen' and lost to the Empire for fifty years, It'varkei has no interest in losing such an important symbol of his authority over the Empire.

Abilities/Use

While the common folk believe the llivdwar sceptre has some magical ability - either to increase the magical ability of the wielder, to bless the holder with divine magic, or to grant the Empire good luck from the Gods themselves, the sceptre is an entirely mundane item.

Construction/Material

A black, obsidian rod, 170cm tall, topped with a pure silver globe. The globe is intricately detailed, covered in a combination of inset and outside designs in the traditional Entharan ornamental style. The rod itself has been broken a handful of times since creation, and while initially was reforged with obsidian, when Magarch Oret'serv recovered the llivdwar sceptre, he had it reforged with silver. As such, the otherwise straight black rod is cut through with silver lines.

The Darormortv was lounging in his chair, twirling the long length of the llivdwar spectre in the air, the silver lines catching the light, when Aldka entered the room.
Being clean was first and foremost before attending the Emperor, but Aldka'lechtv had belonged to the Darormortv long enough that he didn't like to be kept waiting. There had been no warning of his arrival, no silent message delivered to the hidden chambers that Aldka occupied. The Darormortv never sent it himself, but Aldka had... allies of a sort, on the outside. He couldn't have friends, but apparently others in the Darormortv's employ were interested in him staying alive. Still, Aldka wouldn't deny being nervous that he might be considered late.
He moved towards the Darormortv and sunk slowly to kneel at his feet.
The llivdwar sceptre, when the Darormortv placed the head under Aldka'lechtv's chin to tilt his gaze upwards, was cold against his skin.
"Aldka," Emperor It'varkei said, a voice like honey covering the taste of poison, dripping lethality while drawing you closer.
"Darormortv," Aldka'lechtv breathed in return.
Whatever the Darormortv had been searching for in Aldka's eyes, he didn't know, but the Emperor's attention shifted away from him again soon enough. Disappointed? Aldka tried not to frown, keeping his body still in the position the sceptre had placed him, as the Darormortv continued the slow, seemingly absent-minded rotations of the silver-streaked obsidian.
