Ordinus Ventraeu (Ordy-nuss Ven-true)

Overview

A loyal and protective father-figure to Madrina Leafkin, Captain Ordinus Ventraeu worked his way through a military career on Salus before being inducted into SERD as a Seeker Operative. Deftly handling liaison tasks with the Varish and Xix, investigating various anomalies, and performing investigative work; Ordinus swiftly rose in standing amongst his peers and employers, coming to sit firmly ranked as an S-Class operative. Flying between space stations, planets, and other spacial bodies, Ordinus and his AI companion 'Navi' would detect a gravitic anomaly that would pull Ordinus onto a fated path without his knowing.

Career-Guided Personality

Ordinus Ventraeu is a career military man, disciplined and orderly. Despite this, his years as a Seeker have meant he's mellowed in the ways needed to support diplomatic relationships - after all, you can't always be straight-backed while enjoying a glass of wine, or swinging a gun around at a dinner party where you're the honoured guest. The rounding of his personality came about after discovering one of his dearest crewmates.

Captain, Crew, and Guardianship

After rescuing Madrina Leafkin from a research facility where scientists, her parents, and their attackers were found dead around her; Ordinus sought to reunite her with her tribe. After this failed, the tribe raving about fate, Ordinus petitioned The Council of Grand Architects to return the girl to whomever will keep her safe. Upon their decree that she would be safest in his care, Ordinus began reluctantly amassing a crew to aid him on his journey. Though these times were challenging, he inadvertently found himself with a mismatched crew of different races and professions he came to call his family.

Fate

The strands of fate promised when Madrina was young took their turn to shine in the sunlight. At 19 (Terran), a series of events and meetings propelled the crew into more chaos, bloodshed, and battle than they've ever experienced. At the forefront, ready to face the dangers and battles to come, is Madrina - The Weight of The World having found its Wielder. Ordinus Ventraeu, proud, stands beside her.
