Belvedine

Queen Belvedine Kliat- Charlone

Beloved by the people, Queen of Shoza, Belvedine Kliat has done well to adjust herself to her new home.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Belvedine has been a beautiful lady for most of her life, and is still considered a beauty even at the time that most men would typically be chasing her daughter, a beauty in her own making. She has the exagerated proportions that are conventionally found to be desirable by hedonistic men, especially in the chest.

Body Features

She is shorter than most men and even most noble women, but only slightly. Belvedine wears the years of comfort on her body well, with a noticeable but not embarassing amount of fat around most of her body, without any sign of muscle or arduous life.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Queen Belvedine Kliat, born Lady Belvedine Charlone, was third and last in line to the title of Baronness of Arlina. The eldest, her sister, was set to take the throne, while her elder brother would be groomed to lead the army. Belvedine on the other hand, would be groomed for marriage, only to take the throne should both of her siblings pass prematurely.   She would be betrothed to Prince Hector of Shoza, on the complete opposite side of the Continent. Transplanted to a place she had never seen to live with a man she had never met, she was quite reticent about both. In time, the culture of her adopted home would grow on her. She would also learn to love the King, and the people would come to lover her as Queen as well. She would eventually grant the King two children: Prince Varkileus and Princess Trevolia. Being the younger child, the Princess would suffer much the same fate that she had. For all the power and influence that she had, she was still second to the King, and increasingly, second even to her own son.   The Queen would try to ensure that her daughter would at least have a greater agency before her betrothal, and would try to make her confinement a pleasant one.

Sexuality

Belvedine's sexuality has not been her own for most of her life. To be a marketable wife to a fellow noble lord, Belvedine had to maintain chaste and pure; a restriction not placed on her older siblings. She would find being restricted restricted to a husband she did not agree to a poor improvement over abstinence. King Hector was kind and patient, but that alone does not make a forced partner become a willing lover.   This would cause a problem for the legitimacy and succession of the crown. Belvedine seduced a foreign noble in a winter ball, and would lead her to conceive. Unable to hide the infidelity, she confessed to King Hector. He was incensed, but showed rare mercy. Hector would have had every right to discard her. Instead, he would keep her secret, and raise the child as his own.   Belvedine's heart softened and eventually grew to love Hector, for a time. She thought her husband was sympathetic to her plight. After the two conceived a child and Trevolia was born, Belvedine would find that Hector had made a political calculation. Whatever he felt about her wifes past, he wasn't willing to spare his daughter from the same situation.   In this realization, Belvedine has found herself less concerned with the rules regarding fidelity. She has started cheating again, including with her daughters boyfriend, Silve

Education

By noble standards, Belvedine is not well educated. In her homeland, an educated woman is a dangerous woman. She is literate, but was limited in what she would be allowed to consume. Much of what she learned was alongside her children. She has, by extension, put far greater trust and faith in her advisors and aides than most.

Accomplishments & Achievements

In her childhood, Belvedine showed great natural talent as a painter. This was stunted in her adolescence, as her father, the Baron, would say 'you are not the person to be making portraits, you are the person other people's make portraits of'. After the birth of her daughter, the Queen would retake up the brush. Out of practice, she has had to make up an extensive gap from over a decade of absense.

Failures & Embarrassments

The Queen's largest failing is a privately held one: the need to protect her daughter. She still resents the manner in which she was forced to marry, and that her value was only as a bride and mother, even

Social

Reign

Belvedine is Queen of Shoza, a landlocked country in the eastern quadrant of T'saras westmost continent. She's held the position since adulthood, and has become an adept ruler. She is more noteworthy for her charitable and magnanimous spirit than she is for any political choice, as she has only made official decisions in the rare time King Hector has been incapacitated.

Family Ties

Belvedine has not seen her family since her wedding day; the journey accross the continent is too long and infeasible for heads of state not on official business. They still keep in contact to the degree possible through letters. She very much would like her children to see her home country at some point, but with them having already reached adulthood, that is likely to remain a dream.
