Sovereign of the Sea
Rulers of the waves, the Dreadnoughts of Linthalia are the largest ships on the seas. Although some of space for guns has been sacrificed to also carry freight, they are still a formidable foe, and more than able to protect the merchant ships heading in and out of Linthalian ports.
Propulsion
The ship is four masted, necessary for powering such an immense ship at speed. As a result, the maintaining and distribution of sails is particularly complex. If caught unprepared, it takes the ship an extended time to adjust, leaving the Sovereign of the Seas vulnerable. Because of this and the reputation these ships are afforded on the oceans, only the most experienced and disciplined Captains are given command.
Weapons & Armament
Like other Dreadnoughts, the Sovereign of the Sea has considerable firepower, but its actually underpowered relative to its size. Ships of the Line from The Intransican Empire typically have comparable number of guns, despite being more than a quarter smaller. The reason for this is that a sizable portion of the holds are dedicated for carrying freight, making it a multipurpose ship.
Hangars & docked vessels
1Although no Dreadnought has been sunk in living memory, the Sovereign of the Sea is outfitted with sufficient small boats to serve as life boats if needed. More often, because the ship is as much a piece of diplomacy as they are to combat piracy, the boats are used to ferry officers or dignitaries aboard to and from other ships, or shore.
The Sovereign of The Sea is the latest of the Dreadnoughts. Like its sister ships, it's primary mission is protecting ships from piracy or warfare.
Maiden Tea is especially valuable; a globally valued commodity only grown in Linthalia. The Captain of the Sovereign is therefore charged with ensuring control by any means, including capturing or even sinking other Linthalian ships in order to prevent the wrong hands from getting them.
