The Intransican Empire
The largest and most powerful martial force in the world, with a sovereign ruler thought to have become a God among Men. The Intransican Empire is the hallmark of what humanity is capable of, for better or worse. The alliance of human kingdoms that would become the Intransican Empire prevented a catastrophe that could have destroyed all life on T'sara, and in so doing helped usher in a New Age. The Empire is known to be abusive, authoritarian, and even overtly genocidal towards species that collaborated with The Enemy, most prominently Orcs. Weaknesses in the Imperial system and its people are beginning to be exposed that propaganda alone can't quiet. With the Emperor not being seen in more than a generation, the loyalty of the Imperial subjects and tributes is starting to wane. Some wonder aloud if this is a sign of the end of the Intransican Empire, and what that could mean as a result.
Structure
The Emperor is said to make all decisions of the land that he built, and is concerned for all of his subjects, whom he sees as his children. Although he is a God Among Men, the God still has a large cloister of advisors, generals, and others who actually manage the day to day of the Empire. The inner workings of the Imperial government are secretive even to those on its periphery.
What people do understand is the government that they actually see. Each of the "territories" of the Empire is a country or region that was conquered in times past. The leading general of the operation was given authority over the defeated land, and familial noble lines carry on until they either die off or, more often, prove incapable of leadership. Each Imperial Lord has a great deal of latitude with how they rule their vassal states, but know their behavior is always being watched and evaluated.

Culture
The Intransican Empire has only had one ruler, and therefore much of the society resembles a personality cult. The Emperor is infallible, irreplacable, and undefeatable. Publicly questioning Imperial decisions is to question the Emperor himself.
The Empire's creation was founded on a military response to a global crisis, and so the Empire itself has put the military as it's preeminent concern. The outside world is always looked at through the lens of what is or could become the next threat. Prevention of that threat has justified the broad use of the Imperial Army, including in it's constant war against the Orcs, who are understood to be an existential threat to not just The Empire but to all the civilized world if not held in check.

Public Agenda
All government predominantly seeks its continued existence. The Intransican Empire sees much of the outside world as a threat, and so has readily deployed it's army across the world to stop the problem before it starts.
Seeing themselves as the world's watchdogs and having been born from a catastrophe that affected all beings on the world, the Empire has even been known to engage in problems that don't directly affect them if it seems to negatively affect global affairs and global safety.

Krakorum maintains its independance from the Eternal Empire by paying lip service to its dogmatic propaganda and sending vast amounts of its trade wealth into Imperial coffers.
The Empire sees the monarchies independance as an annoyance more than any true threat. The gains for invasion are outweighed by the cost, so typical logic dictates.
