The Immortal Emperor
The Immortal Emperor
The leader of the Intransican Empire, The Once and Future Emperor has lived for the entirety of the Third Age, and is believed to have ascended into Godhood. Rarely seen and heard from, he is mystically aloof in the management of his country, with dozens of members of his Council acting or speaking in his stead.
Divine Domains
Members of other species are quick to criticize Imperial claims of Godliness. Chief among their points is that for any of his alleged powers, none of which any soul alive has seen, he is not the God of any thing. Wheere Dineth The Destroyer is the Goddess of Death and Peace, or Mastro is the eternal guardian of God of Justice, the Emperor cannot hold any such claims. Similarly, there is no holy order of Palladins or the like who are religious zealots of the Emperor and are granted a portion of his holy power.

Personal history
The Man who would become a God is said to have had a humble origin. Growing up as a frontier farmer, when he reached adulthood he was conscripted into the Army, where he served well and felt that he had found his calling, putting himself in harms way to defend his home and those he cares for. He possessed a keen tactical mind and a rare amount of tenacity. In the ranks of the Army, he heard of Mastro, the Eternal Flame and god of Justice. The words of the faith spoke to him in a way little else had up to this point. When his conscripted service was over, he joined The Watch. His faith solidified by being around like minded, his eagerness was also difficult to match, even among such a zealous organization. If anything, it was thought that he needed to exhibit restraint, as he grew to try and predict future injustices and end them before they occurred.
His dangerous views came to a head when he began to hear increased reports of Orcish incursions in his homeland; something that showed a greater level of sophistication than they were thought possible of. Waiting until the inevitable was insufficient, and when The Watch refused to listen, he took the few he could convince as followers and left the Watch to meet the threat head on.
The situation was graver than even he imagined. The Orcs had allied themselves with the Drow and the Druggar. The Triumverate, as they would come to be known, sought revenge on a global scale, destroying anyone who stood in their way of domination. The Kingdoms of Men were the first victims, having been completely conquered by the Triumverate. Having spent so long warring against each other, they were incapable of putting down old grudges to fight a conjoined enemy.
Returning to his home city of Intransica, the future Emperor would begin the first meaningful resistance against the Triumverate. Still seen as a leader of the Watch, and not for his national ties or allegiance, he was able to galvanize and organize. The fighting was lengthy and gruesome, and the resistance nearly over before the tide finally swung the other direction. The sole human survivor of the bloodiest battle in history, he had ascended beyond the constraints of mortality, possessing strange powers that even magic could not fully explain. He was quickly labeled as a God, and became the rallying symbol for the entire resistance, now including Elves, Dwarves, and the lesser sentient races.
As the enemy retreated, many of the Kingdoms of Men united around him as their leader. The loose collection of nations became an Empire, with Intransica as it's capital. The general became the Emperor, guiding every step of humanity as he went. Comitted to preserving not just his home, but defending all of humanity and T'sara from future incursions, he set out to eliminate the threat, once and for all. Since than, the Empire has been in a constant war with the Orc tribes, too disparate to form a credible menace, but too tenacious and stubborn to be wiped out. The Emperor also lead conquests into other human lands deemed necessary, or a considerable threat.
Centuries passed, and as the swords turned to plowshares, the formation of the Empire faded into history books, as did the mortal history of the Emperor himself.

Sexuality
The Emperor's sexuality is rarely a topic of serious conversation, but does bear some consideration, as it contains a mystery. The Emperor has never taken a wife, or otherwise publicly expressed love or desire for a specific woman. In the closest sanctums of the Imperial City, where the Emperor is said to live, there are scores of concubines who exist solely for the Emperor's pleasure. Yet, through all of the centuries, not one of them has born a child that possesses the power or appearance of their supposed father.
Some suspect that the Emperor is closeted homosexual. This would be an immense scandal, if true, as the Empire itself has banned all such relationships for centuries. Others suspect that the women inhabiting the sanctum exist for the pleasure of the Council, using the Emperor's name for their own gain. In their minds, the Emperor would have ascended beyond such base, human desires. Still others believe that he is heterosexual and does indeed need all of these women to satisfy his desires and needs, but that through his godly power, he decides who, if any of them, will ever bear his children.

Accomplishments & Achievements
It is said that the Immortal Emperor leads humanity because he is solely attributed with their survival as a race. While that is largely centuries of propaganda building on itself, at it's heart is some truth. Even if humanity wouldn't have been eradicated, The Emperor was the galvanizing factor that enabled humans to stand up against the Triumverate. Without him, the rebellion would likely have failed.
Failures & Embarrassments
The biggest indictment to the Emperor's godly status or tactical brilliance have been the Orcs. Though he successfully drove the tribes back, it is now at a standstill. The remaining tribes are too spread out and too few in number to ever manage a successful counter against the Empire, but despite best efforts, they cannot be defeated. Their resilient nature and innate stubborness makes it so they will never surrender the fight.
