The Six Sisters
An informal grouping of Goddesses who created the elves, humans, dwarves, orcs, halflings, and children. Together, they are responsible for the creation of the sentient life on T'sara that predates the Fey Crisis. They strived in the Lost Age to create a society where all could live together without conflict, and after all of the conflicts and disasters through Three Ages, still work towards that goal.
Structure
The Goddesses do not have any formal structure between themselves. The closest one comes is that when together, the other five are often watchful or protective of Phoenicia, who has embodied the youthful and naive aspects of the children she has divinity over. This does not stop mortals from theorizing a leadership structure among them; all of them wrong. Some believe that Varissa, the First Sister to be the wisest and has natural authority, having been the one who took the steps that all others followed. Others see Vrishka, with her Humans having outnumbered all other races and with Magic's great power, to be the leader. More discerning types would counter that Hjanda, usually being the arbiter of the group, is the leader of the six.
If the six cannot come to a mutual agreement, it is typical that no action is taken, though all of them have builty guilty at times of taking action into their own hands if their is no concurrance.
Public Agenda
The Six Sisters wish to see all of their creations return to the peaceful society and world in which they were first created. Some are more skeptical than others that this will occur. Quargh in particular is doubtful Vrishka's sincerity, given the current genocide Orcs face at the hands of the Intransican Empire. Vrishka in turn worries about Quargh and the Orcs, given the Triumverate War and the Orc's attempt at complete dominance. The two are at least united in denouncing the claims of Intransica of their "Immortal Emperor" having ascended to Godhood, as are the other Sisters.
History
Each of the sisters made one of the races that now populate T'sara. First, Varissa made the Elves. Next, Vrishka made the Humans. Hjanda made the Dwarves, Quargh made the Orcs, and Draenysis created the Halflings. Collaborating, each had also created aspects that would be beneficial or necessary for the different species to survive and live together. Hjanda was the Goddess of families, while Quargg the Goddess of Hospitality, and Varissa the Goddess that governed trade. The Five had worked closely together and developed a kinship, but were still further apart than together,
All was seen doomed when Dineth created Death, which would wipe T'sara clean of everything the five had worked on. Phoenicia had created Children, which not defeat death, but still allow all of the other Goddesses creations to continue. Dineth was furious, and in his rage attacked Phoenicia, seeking to imprison her and force her to undo her creations. The others protected Phoenicia from Dineth The Destroyer, with Hjanda leading the way. It was at this time that the Goddesses would be recognized as the Six Sisters, though it was none of the Gods themselves who coined the term.
From that moment, the loose arrangement of cooperation and collaboration had become a permanent and tighter bond to see all of their creations co-exist and thrive. Each would adjust their aspects and domains to permit mutual harmony. They had been successful, with the Lost Age being label as a peaceful, bountiful, albeit hedonistic utopia.
When the Fey discovered T'sara and sought to mangle and destroy it, it was the creations of the Six Sisters, and the Goddesses themselves, that they were principally targeting. Sentience and souls confined to a static form and purpose was anathema to them. The Sisters converged and agreed that they would not change their creations in order stave off The Fey Crisis: doing so would be granting a tactical victory while still surrendering the overall point. The Fey would corrupt some of them anyway: turning elvish captives into Drow, Orcish ones into Goblins, and Humans into any litany of horrid animal hybrids. All fought valiantly, but it was never a fight that could truly be won. The Fey, beings of pure energy, could not stopped and defeated in the way flesh and blood could. The only way T'sara could be saved was Veserae, Mother of All Gods and God of All Mothers sacrificed herself. The world of T'sara and its inhabitants were granted with true permanence: the Fey could no longer meddle or destroy the world, but neither could the Gods undo the destruction that had already been levied. In this new grim reality, the Goddesses had to come together and work hand in hand with the mortals they created in order to find a way forward in this brave new world.
Goings would be difficult, and while the Sisters would agree on the end goal, their desired methods and tactics would differ greatly. Disagreements have grown between them as the species themselves have grown more confrontational and hateful, especially between Vrishka and Quarrgh. Each recognizes that the actions of the Humans and Orcs are not their direct fault, but both seeks that the other would do more to quell the behavior.
Sects
The Sisters individually recieve some of the largest amount of prayer and worship, with multiple faiths and dedicated to each of their respective holy domains. Despite this, there is very little presence of a religion dedicated to The Six Sisters as a group. There had been such a religion through most of the First Age, but the popularity of the ideal of a united world had become increasingly distant over time. By the Third Age, the church had all but dissipated. A small group of devotees, calling themselves the Sisterhood of the Six Sisters, seek to turn that around, and with renewed faith in the future that they seek to create.
