Ahdajika

In the realm of the Kah, there lies a unique form of divine art known as Ahdajika, often perceived by outsiders as a form of low magic. However, the High Priestesses and followers of the Kah faith do not view it as such in the conventional sense. Rather, it is seen as an inherent gift, a divine revelation that manifests in some Priestesses, stemming directly from the consumption of the Seed of Understanding in solemn rituals.   Ahdajika centers on the use of seed-syllables, elemental particles of the Kahreol language. These particles are thought to be imbued with immense creative potential, carrying within them the primordial essence of the Word. The power of these seed-syllables is activated and channeled through intricate mandala-like circles, serving as written manifestations of these divine linguistic elements.   The practice of Ahdajika is kept secret from the public, with its rituals performed behind the cloistered walls of the First Temple of the Kah. Only the Priestesses who have undergone rigorous linguistic training and displayed a certain affinity with the Word are granted the privilege to engage in this sacred art.   Kahrilo operates far beyond the purview of The Council of Landezon, a powerful body located in the continent of Rela, just north of Tyril. This geographical distance, coupled with Kahrilo's distinct cultural and religious orientation, places the nation and its practices beyond the Council's regulatory reach.   The Council has long held mixed views about Ahdajika. It is seen as a deviation from recognized magical practices and yet, commands a certain respect due to its spiritual significance and linguistic complexity. Despite this, any attempts to regulate or interfere with the practice have been futile, given Kahrilo's remoteness and strong cultural autonomy. The Council maintains outposts in the nearby nation of Kalio, as a way of keeping tabs on the situation.
