Cerlinnu

The Cerlinnu are a pompous and proud ethnic group who dominate the country of Cerlin (as evidenced by the fact that it's named after them) - especially the region around Maorewed, the capital. They are wealthy and influential, holding significant financial sway over much of the continent of Rajan, and known for their sophisticated culture and love of luxury and indulgence.
The Cerlinnu are avid traders, and their caravans can be found traveling the continent, bringing goods and trade to both the interior, and by sea, to the islands of Reollan and Sakxa. Their love of wealth has inspired several cultural traits, including resourcefulness, determination, and keen business sense, all of which have caused them to thrive and prosper in Cerlin.
They are accordingly known for their elaborate and ornate clothing, which is made from the finest fabrics and decorated with precious jewels and other adornments, and also for their elaborate feasts and banquets, renowned for their delicious cuisine and luxurious surroundings.
Despite their many achievements, the Cerlinnu are not without their detractors: Some, like the Gɫeirmed culture which also occupies Cerlin, criticize them for their arrogance and love of luxury, and accuse them of exploiting the less fortunate for their own gain. But for the most part, the Cerlinnu's power and influence are wielded responsibly, as they are capable administrators.
Commoners of this culture, like many other groups on the continent, speak Colmerhæd., while those of the highest class speak a dainty form of this language called Cerninlaw.
