The Thralls of Oisin
The seven servants of the Caretaker, both beautiful and terrible.
"As he is not here, I am his answer. I am the will of the storm itself."
Oisin's will demands Thralls of myriad forms and functions. With his shepherding of nature, growth, and birth themselves, the deity needs help from some particularly fascinating divine servants.
The form of Oisin's Thralls is not bound by any one principle or binding of theme. There are seven Thralls in total, some created in shapes of more abstraction to be understood as natural forces rather than individuals. Their written names are relative transcriptions of their true names, which are actually understood to be sounds found within the natural world. They also may go by nicknames to the individuals that know of them.
Fury of the Tempest, a Thrall of Oisin
The Seven Thralls of Oisin
Fury of the Tempest
Colloquially known as 'Whoosh', Fury of the Tempest is Oisin's Thrall of wrath, natural disasters, and storms. Whoosh is most often depicted as a tall and gangly humanoid figure with the naked torso of a man, legs of a deer, and antlers of a stag. His face is that of a 'stretched' elf: extremely angular to a nearly uncomfortable extent. Whorls of poison ivy wrap up and around his body, creating a collar of leaves around his neck.Glint of the Gemstones
Colloquially known as 'Gleam', Glint of the Gemstones is Oisin's Thrall of stones, wealth, and bounty. Gleam is most often depicted as a small, mole-like humanoid made of a combination of soil and stone. Flakes of matter are constantly breaking off of him, manifesting as gems or mundane rocks. Depictions of Gleam have taken up popularity with Talish Dwarven communities as a modern symbol of prosperity and wealth from the earth.Whisper of the Leaves
Colloquially known as 'Psithurism', Whisper of the Leaves is Oisin's Thrall of plant life, wisdom, and beauty. Psithurism is most often depicted as a thin tree-like humanoid with a crown of leaves and laurels adorning their brow. They are often compared to the appearance of Tree-Spirits in this world. However, they are traditionally depicted with hollow eyes constantly leaking sap, honey, and other sweet fluids.Rush of the Waters
Colloquially known as 'Gurgle', Rush of the Waters is Oisin's Thrall of animal life, uninhibited growth, and water. Gurgle's form is a subject of debate amongst the insular communities that even acknowledge his existence. Most believers claim that Gurgle has no one form, but instead rapidly shifts forms by possessing the bodies of different animals. Some scholars, however, say that Gurgle is anchored to a great monster somewhere in the deepest trenches of the ocean, broadcasting his consciousness from there.Roar of the Flames
Colloquially known as 'Crackle', Roar of the Flames is Oisin's Thrall of magic, energy, and natural law. Crackle has no one typical depiction. Artistic views of Crackle vary from pure beings of fire to elemental golems to (usually attractive) humanoid avatars. However, scholars agree on a prime personality trait ascribed to Crackle: they are unbiased.Seethe of the Shadow
Colloquially known as 'Bamf', Seethe of the Shadow is Oisin's Thrall of hunting, impulse, and risk. Bamf is the second-most secretive of the Thralls. Only some depictions survive, as Bamf is not a typical object of worship. These are all images of eight white eyes shrouded in darkness. This is as far as an understanding of Bamf's physical form goes. The Seventh Thrall
There is very little to no information on the Seventh Thrall, but it is understood that they do exist. Some theologians postulate that they are the Thrall of health, cleansing, and timely death.
