Kallanar, The Necromancer

The enigmatic Necromancer; this individual has established himself within the minds of the party as an extremely daunting and powerful person, whose ability to control the dead is self-evident in every encounter they have had with him.   A being clad in dark robes and red mask, it's difficult to see any defining features, however he is not very tall, and seems to hold a slender frame.   First met within the depths of the temple of Kelemvor, clearly working to insult the God of the Dead, the Necromancer was seen throwing skulls in to a pool of empowered blood, which resulted in the raising of the once priests of Kelemvor. Upon seeing this the party intervened with some success, stopping whatever ritual was taking place, but the Necromancer escaped, leaving behind his book as he had left himself unable to retrieve it while also ensuring his survival. His tome was promptly taken by Cindrex who spent some time studying this for knowledge and information. Using this they discovered some of the past actions of the Necromancer, as well as some choice spells.   After having defeated the Necromancer, the party were unknowingly being spied on through the use of a Scrying spell which allowed him to locate and subsequently retrieve his grimoire, while also allowing the party to have a conversation to understand more about his motives.   Although he has not been seen since, the party have heard from the Hermetic Order that an item called the "Crown of Horns" - An ancient relic of the God Myrkul - Was stolen from their custody, and that they were unsure who the thief was, leading the party to believe that perhaps this was conducted by the Necromancer.   It has also been revealed that Magnus has encountered the enigmatic Necromancer years prior, an incident involving a strange creature called a Slaad.   Post Transtemporal Travel   With the change in events, the being known only as Kallanar has been quiet in both actions and reputation. Using a sending spell, Cindrex Kilner decided to reach out to the once Necromancer in an attempt to arrange a meeting and better understand his actions, to which Kallanar agreed. This led to a disagreement in action taken before the great change and the two parted ways. Despite a peaceful parting, Kallanar was subsequently followed by Bhalasar who, disgrunted with the answers given by Kallanar once again for the actions he chose in a previous life, charged at Kallanar in rage but was defeated before being able to land a blow.   Once again, Kallanar appears to be on the move however his source of power and overall motives continue to remain a mystery.
