Elementis
Properties
Material Characteristics
In its raw form, elementis is a colorless gemstone that grows in varying sized clusters ranging from a couple of meters to entire cave systems in length. However when subject to intense natural elemental events (Volcanos, Tornados, Earthquakes) elementis takes on a variety of colors to match the energy contained within
Physical & Chemical Properties
Capable of storing the pure elemental energies (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Ice) for extended periods of time
Compounds
Used in various technologies in the Kingdoms but is primarily used in solid gem form to power cities or in dust form to power small devices
Geology & Geography
Pure and natural elementis is found throughout the four Kingdoms but is primarily mined from the mountain ranges found bordering The Kingdom of Mantle
History & Usage
Discovery
No one truly knows the first discoverer of elementis but due to the high density of elementis in The Kingdom of Mantle many claim the discovery with the founder of the current Mantle royal family a claim they have not denied
Everyday use
Used most commonly as a power source in The Four Kingdoms, but Spirit Wielders use elementis to boost their combat abilities allowing the wielder to use elemental attacks
Cultural Significance and Usage
After its discovery towards the end of the Great War, Humanity used elementis to power its Captial cities and defenses against the remaining army of The Shade
Refinement
Pure elementis can be refined down to pure filtered dust for higher energy output to counteract the short usability
Distribution
Trade & Market
Sold commercially in all Kingdoms but is primarily sold in bulk shipments through Mantle and Alder
Law & Regulation
Due to a majority of elementis being mined and refined in The Kingdom of Mantle, Mantle holds tight control over regulations regarding the material and its usability
Type
Elemental / Molecular
Value
Value is based on the purity and size of the elementis and in the case of the dust form is valued based on its weight and purity
Rarity
Elementis in its Light Blue and Yellow forms are the rarest of all the forms of elementis due to the nature of the elemental energies and the methods of storing that energy in crytal form
Color
White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Light Blue, Black
Common State
Solid
